When broken, the bracket, which connects the mattress support to the crib, creates a gap and uneven sleeping support. Babies can roll into the gap and become entrapped, facing possible suffocation. The gap also poses fall hazards for smaller babies, and the broken bracket itself poses laceration or even choking hazards. <\/p>\n<p>Fortunately, no injuries have yet to be reported. Consumers are urged to immediately discontinue use and find a safe and suitable place for children to sleep, such as a bassinet, play yard, or toddler bed (if the child is old enough). Consumers may contact the manufacturer (Bexco Enterptises, Inc.) for a free replacement mattress support, which includes replacement brackets, by calling  (888) 673-6652 from 8:30 a.m. to 5:15 p.m. PT Monday through Friday. To find out if your crib is included in the recall, find the label on the bottom right-hand-side panel of the crib.
