Five types of cups, which are sold under the Tommee Tippee Sippee Cup brand name, are affected by the recall.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_600\" style=\"width: 183px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-600\" class=\"wp-image-600\" src=\"http:\/\/www.messalaw.com\/recall\/wp-content\/uploads\/16179a-213x300.jpg\" alt=\"The valve inside the cups that is prone to mold. \" width=\"173\" height=\"244\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.messalaw.com\/recall\/wp-content\/uploads\/16179a-213x300.jpg 213w, https:\/\/www.messalaw.com\/recall\/wp-content\/uploads\/16179a.jpg 355w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 173px) 100vw, 173px\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-600\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">The affected valve<\/p><\/div>\n<p>The five types include: First Sips Transition cup, Trainer Sippee cup, Sippee cup (including Cute Quips), Sportee bottle and Insulated Swiggle\/Sippee tumblers. The plastic drinking cups have spill-proof tops, easy-grip sides with detachable handles and were sold in clear with colored lids and a variety of colors and character prints.<\/p>\n<h2>Three Thousand Incidents of Mold Reported<\/h2>\n<p>The recall was prompted by over 3,000 reports of mold in the removable valve of the spill-proof cups, including 68 reports of children experiencing diarrhea, vomiting or other symptoms associated with drinking from the moldy cups.<\/p>\n<p>The cups were sold for between $4 and $7 from December 2014 through May 2016 at <em>BuyBuy Baby<\/em>, <em>CVS<\/em>, <em>Kohl\u2019s<\/em>, <em>Target<\/em>, <em>Walgreens<\/em>, <em>Wal-Mart<\/em> and other mass merchandise stores nationwide. The cups were also sold online at <em>Amazon.com<\/em>, <em>Babyhaven.com<\/em>, and <em>Diapers.com<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Consumers should immediately stop using the cups and contact Mayborn USA Online at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tommeetippee.us\" target=\"_blank\">www.tommeetippee.us<\/a> and click on the recall button at the bottom of the homepage for more information.
