Lorex Technology, Inc has issued a recall of their\u00a0Lorex Care \u2018N\u2019 Share video baby monitors.\u00a0The video monitor\u2019s batteries can overheat, swell and expand and cause the battery cover to open or come off. This can expose hot batteries, posing a burn hazard to consumers.<\/p>\n

About 26, 000 of the affected monitors were sold in the United States, along with about 8,000 in Canada. The Care & ‘N’ Share monitors were sold at\u00a0Best Buy, Babies \u201cR\u201d Us, The Home Depot, B&H, \u00a0Walmart and online at Amazon.com\u00a0and\u00a0www.lorextechnology.com<\/a> from May 2013 through April 2016.\u00a0 The video baby monitors were sold in bundles for between $60 and $140.<\/p>\n

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled monitors and contact Lorex to receive a full refund.<\/h3>\n

The model numbers included in this recall are WL3520, WL4320 and WL3401. The model numbers are printed on the back panel of the monitor. The monitors were sold in bundles with cameras. The monitors contain a blue lithium polymer battery and measure about 4 inches tall by 5 inches wide. The monitors have a white plastic back and either a white or black border.\u00a0\u201cLOREX\u201d or \u201cThe Lorex Baby\u201d is printed below the monitor screen.<\/p>\n
