The majority of the recalled vehicles, approximately 115,000, are in the United States. <\/p>\n<p>In a statement, Toyota said that a diaphragm material in the fuel injection system can harden over time and eventually crack, causing fuel to leak. &#8220;A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source can increase the risk of a vehicle fire,&#8221; the auto manufacturer said. The company&#8217;s statement did not reveal whether or not the issue has caused any fires, crashes, or injuries. <\/p>\n<p>Toyota dealers will replace the defective fuel delivery pipe with an updated pipe at no cost to affected vehicle owners. Toyota will begin notifying affected consumers this August. <\/p>\n<h2>Hyundai-Kia fire issues also cause for concern<\/h2>\n<p>In May of this year, Korean automakers Hyundai and Kia issued a recall of over 37,000 hybrid vehicles due to an oil leak with the potential to cause a fire.
