John Deere Recalls High-Performance Gator Utility Vehicles Due to Fire Hazard

08/03/2016 By Noelle McHugh Leave a Comment

John Deere has issued a recall of their RSX860i TB and RSX860i TE High-Performance Gator™ utility vehicles due  to a fire hazard. The fuel hose could leak or separate when the fuel system is pressurized, posing a fire hazard. No incidents nor injuries have been reported yet, and customers are urged to immediately stop using the vehicles and contact a John Deere dealer for a free repair. Recalled John Deere Gator

The recalled vehicles were manufactured in June of 2016 and have serial numbers that start with 1M0860T. The utility vehicles have a green hood and yellow rims, side-by-side seating for two and four wheels.  The serial number can be located on the frame at the rear of the machine above the hitch. A full listing of the affected serial numbers can be found here.

The affected vehicles were sold at John Deere dealers nationwide from June 2016 through July 2016 for between $12,300 and $14,000. John Deere is contacting all registered owners of the recalled utility vehicles directly.
