375,000 Smoke Detectors Recalled for Failure to Alert

smoke detectors375,000 Sure Signal Heat-activated fire alarms are being recalled due to a defective alert system fuse that can fail to alert consumers of a fire.

Sure Signal is urging all affected consumers to immediately contact the company for free fuse replacements. An instructional video has been posted on the company’s website, www.SureSignalProducts.com. assist in the installations of the brand new fuses.

Customers can call Sure Signal with questions or concerns at 855-202-3083 between 8am and 5pm Monday thru Friday or visit the website and click on CPSC HEAT SENSOR RECALL on the right side of the page.

Sure Signal fire alarm brand names included in the recall are: DeTech FST2004H, MasterGuard QR50, Responsive TR70-R and Thermalink QR50. Currently, no incidents or injuries have been reported. Recalled devices were sold nationwide from January 2004 through September 2015.
