A SEPTA Norristown High Speed Line train crashed into an unoccupied train Tuesday morning at the 69th St. Transportation Center, injuring 42 people.

There were 41 passengers on board, plus the operator, when the crash occurred just after midnight. Injured passengers were taken to eight area hospitals by Upper Darby, PA emergency responders. SEPTA officials reported this morning that none of the injuries sustained appear to be life threatening.

Norristown High Speed Line trains were up and running on a modified schedule in time for the morning commute.
