– $478,000 verdict against Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital and Trinity Health on behalf of Michelle Robinson. Ms. Robinson sustained a tibial fracture and aggravation of lumbar degenerative disc disease, spondylosis, and arthritis after a fall from her wheelchair due to the defective and dangerous condition of the defendants’ handicapped parking spaces.

Prior to joining Messa Law, Mr. Furber served as an Assistant District Attorney in the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office, where he quickly distinguished himself as a trial lawyer. Within six years, he was promoted to the Homicide Unit—an achievement attained by only a select few prosecutors. In that role, he tried dozens of homicides and major felony cases, developing exceptional courtroom skills, disciplined preparation habits, and a reputation for persuasive advocacy.

Mr. Furber comes from a distinguished legal family. His father served as President Judge of the Montgomery County Court of Common Pleas. Mr. Furber earned his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Maryland, College Park in 2003 and his Juris Doctor from the Temple University Beasley School of Law in 2008.

In 2018, Furber was selected for inclusion on the Pennsylvania Super Lawyers Rising Stars list, a designation awarded to top performing Pennsylvania attorneys under 40 based on committee and peer nominations.  He was selected for Pennsylvania Super Lawyers every year since 2022, an honor that less than five percent of attorneys in PA are awarded.
