Woman Suffers from a Brain Injury after tripping on United Airline’s Jetway while Assisting her Disabled Husband to a Wheelchair
Messa and Associates Attorneys, Joseph L. Messa and Megan M. Kwak, are representing a woman suffering from catastrophic injuries after tripping on a United Airline’s jetway.
Mrs. Warter and her disabled husband were traveling to Newark Liberty International Airport on a United Airlines flight. Prior to their travels, the husband and wife requested a wheelchair from United Airlines to allow the husband to get to and from the aircraft.
Mrs. Warter attempted to escort her husband to a wheelchair through crowds of people and tripped over a protruding bar in the busy jetway. United Airlines failed to appropriately arrange for the wheelchairs to be easily accessible to disabled passengers.
Mrs. Warter fell, striking her head, causing a brain bleed and permanent brain damage.
Messa and Associates are fighting to prove that the negligence, carelessness, and recklessness exhibited by United Airlines caused permanent injuries to Mrs. Warter, who was trying to care for her disabled husband. We are working to secure compensation and justice for the husband and wife who had to endure this traumatic situation.
