Fatal Megabus Collision on NJ Turnpike
On the evening of August 9th, a Megabus from New York City traveling to Philadelphia collided with a pickup truck on the New Jersey Turnpike.
Police say the bus had 22 passengers in addition to the bus driver on board. 2 of the passengers did not survive the crash with an additional 17 injured.
The collision happened around 7 PM in the Woodbridge Township area of New Jersey when the driver lost control of the bus hitting a Ford F-150 that was traveling in the left-center lane. The bus went off the road, struck a guardrail, and overturned. The driver of the Ford F-150 was able to walk away uninjured.
Recently in May another collision involving a Megabus sent 15 people to the hospital while another 27 were left with minor injuries.
