Reports indicate that 24 of the 33 people injured were taken to area hospitals, with at least two people suffering serious injuries. Investigators do not know what caused the deck to collapse, but promised a thorough investigation. All of the victims who were are believed to be accounted for at this time.

The Miami deck collapse comes just a week after a building on Market Street in Philadelphia collapsed killing six people and injuring 13 others. The building collapsed as it was being demolished and fell onto the Salvation Army Thrift Store causing that building to also collapse.

He has been charged with six counts of involuntary manslaughter, 13 counts of recklessly endangering another person and one count each of causing a catastrophe and risking a catastrophe for his role in the deadly collapse.
