Three Fatalities Reported after SUV crashes into SEPTA Station

On Tuesday, May 10th at 2:45 AM an SUV traveling at a high rate of speed down Kensington and East Allegheny avenues crashed into multiple pedestrians and a SEPTA station.

Witnesses stated that the SUV traveled at least 100 MPH when the crash occurred. No skid marks or evidence showing the SUV driver attempted to slow down was found. The SUV drove up onto the sidewalk where it struck three pedestrians then crashed into the SEPTA station and caught on fire.

Two of the three pedestrians were pronounced dead on the scene along with the driver of the SUV.

The cause of the crash is currently being investigated.
