Ashley B. Diliberto

Ashley DiLiberto is a Partner at Messa Law who represents individuals in complex, high-stakes personal injury and mass tort litigation across the country.

She has secured millions of dollars in recoveries, including multiple seven- and eight-figure settlements, for clients harmed by defective products, dangerous drugs, toxic exposures, and serious negligence.

 

Ms. DiLiberto spearheads the firm’s Mass Tort Litigation Team, overseeing a national docket of cases and driving litigation strategy in some of the largest proceedings in the country. She is actively involved in major Multi-District Litigations (MDLs), including the 3M Combat Arms Earplug litigation, Philips Respironics CPAP litigation, Bard Hernia Mesh, Roundup, Camp Lejeune’s Toxic Water Contamination, the sexual abuse cases involving the Boy Scouts of America, the Hair Relaxer litigation, and the GLP-1 litigation.

She was appointed by the Honorable Joy Flowers Conti to serve on the Plaintiffs’ Leadership Committee in the Philips CPAP MDL – a court-selected group of attorneys responsible for shaping litigation strategy on behalf of injured individuals nationwide. She also served as bellwether trial counsel in the 3M Earplug Litigation, contributing to the global resolution of the largest mass tort in U.S. history.

In addition to her mass tort work, Ms. DiLiberto represents clients in catastrophic personal injury and wrongful death cases, including premises liability, medical negligence, product liability, and serious motor vehicle collisions.

Notable Results Include:

  • Eight-figure settlement – recovery for a group of military service members who suffered hearing loss and tinnitus as a result of defective 3M earplugs
  • Confidential eight-figure settlement – product liability action involving a man in his 40s who suffered significant injuries due to a defective product
  • Confidential seven-figure settlement – negligent care case involving a home nursing company that resulted in severe and preventable bedsores
  • Confidential six-figure settlement – premises liability case involving an opera singer who sustained a serious injury while on set 
  • Confidential six-figure settlement – involving a woman who sustained significant physical injuries after being attacked by an unrestrained pitbull
  • $850,000 recovery – dram shop liability case involving service of alcohol to a visibly intoxicated individual
  • $760,000 recovery – toxic exposure cases involving Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma from Roundup

Ms. DiLiberto graduated cum laude from Delaware law school.  Before that, she graduated cum laude from the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Health, while simultaneously working in the Delaware State Senate and concentrating on tort reform and legislation of Big Pharma.

She has been selected to the Pennsylvania Super Lawyers Rising Stars list every year, beginning in 2019, an honor awarded to fewer than five percent of attorneys.
