Hallee, Inc. has issued a recall of around 1,000 units of their Starlit Nights Mosquito Net Bed Canopy after reports that the nets can fall, causing strangulation and entrapment hazards for children who are sleeping underneath.
The company has received one report that a child woke up with the China-made bed canopy around the child’s neck. Fortunately, there have no been reports of injury.
The bed canopy was sold exclusively on Amazon.com from July 2016 through August 2016 for about $45. Hallee, Inc. is urging consumers to immediately stop using the recalled bed canopies and to contact the company for either a full refund or a replacement bed canopy with new warning labels. Hallee will also be contacting all known purchasers directly regarding returns and refunds.
