2016 Buick Verano
GM has issued a recall of approximately 200 vehicles due to a potential fuel line defect. The engine fuel line assembly may be misrouted which can allow the fuel line to contact the surface of the engine and wear out. If the fuel line contacts the engine, the fuel line may wear, resulting in a fuel leak and increasing the risk of a fire.
The vehicles in question are 2016 model-year Buick Verano sedans manufactured between Feb 16 and May 12, 2016, and equipped with a 2.0 liter turbocharged engine.
GM has begun notifying owners and dealers will replace the fuel line assembly, free of charge. Owners may contact Buick customer service at 800-521-7300. The GM recall number is 54180. Owners can also call the National Highway Safety Administration’s vehicle safety hotline at 888-327-4236 or go to safercar.gov for more information.
