The Consumer Products Safety Commission (CPSC) reported on May 21, 2015 a recall of OXO Nest Booster Seats. Over 25,000 seats in the United States and 130 in Canada were recalled due to a potential fall hazard that is caused by the loosening of the safety straps.

OXO, of El Paso Texas, is reporting that the restraint straps can loosen and separate from the seat raising the risk of a child falling. At this point five incidents have been reported where the stitching has come undone, releasing the straps. All of these incidents have followed a child pulling or an adult tightening the straps. Luckily, no injuries have been reported.
The OXO Nest Booster seats were sold from September 2014 through April 2015 at buybuy Baby, Toys “R” Us/Babies “R” Us and specialty stores as well as on Amazon.com. Included in the OXO recall includes model 6367200 (green), 6367300 (pink), 6367500 (taupe) and 6367400 (orange).
The personal injury attorneys at Messa & Associates P.C. recommend that parents immediately stop using the Nest Booster Seat. OXO is offering a free repair kit with a redesigned safety strap.
